Don Hartman, owner and certified inspector, has over twenty years of construction and residential remodeling experience. From 1991 to 2000, Don owned and operated Hartman Contracting, Inc., specializing in complete remodels, home additions, and other residential upgrades. The scope of the projects incorporated all aspects of remodeling including framing, finishing, electrical, heating, plumbing, landscaping, roofing, etc. Don also managed new home construction.

After twenty plus years in the home construction and remodeling industry, Don decided to bring his well-rounded knowledge of homes and their operating systems to the inspection field. Hartman Home Inspections was established in 2000. Don received his certification from the American Institute of Inspectors. He is currently an associate member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and is licensed by the State of Washington as a structural pest inspector.

Sandy Hartman is Business Manager for Hartman Home Inspections. She is the live voice at the end of the phone and coordinates all scheduling, report delivery, and client communications. She has led workshops addressing Small Business Management at national conferences, and is an active member of the Washington Home Inspectors Legislative Advisory Board.
